Q. What is LED eyelash extensions?
A. This is a new technique in the industry using An LED light to cure the glue almost instantly during application instead of having to wait for the glue to cure by way of moisture in the air which can take 24 - 48 hours. Because the cure time is super fast there are many benefits to this new system.
Q. I have heard a lot about UV lashes, is this the same thing as the LED lashes?
A. In short, no. The difference between the two is the kind of light that is being used.
- A UV (ultraviolet) light is known for its shorter wavelengths (200 - 400nm) and higher energy levels which can potentially be harmful to the skin and eyes.
- A LED (light emitting diode) falls within the visible light spectrum which gives longer wavelengths and lower energy levels. The LED light we use has a wavelength of 405 which sits in the normal/visible light spectrum meaning it is considered safe for both the skin and eyes.
Q. Is the LED light harmful to my skin or eyes?
A. Whilst this is a very new technique there are professionals from different backgrounds who share that using an LED light that has a wavelength range of 400+ and being used 10-15cms away from your eye, is considered very safe.
As a comparison, wavelengths under 400nm specifically around 200nm - 315nm is considered harmful to your eyes.
The wattage on these lights are also very low. 5w-6w as oppose to (for example) a nail salon which uses around 20w for their UV systems.
Q. Why the change? What is so good about this system?
A. The glue cures almost instantly which provides so many benefits!!
- No more stickies, so faster application time.

- The chance of a reaction reduces.
- There is no need to avoid water, steam or oil
- The retention is amazing and there is a potential to stretch out your infills plus, fuller looking lashes for longer!

- There is no UV in our light which means this process is safe on skin and eyes
Q. How long do LED Eyelash Extensions last?
A. Results will vary amongst clients but is it typical for client's lashes to last about 1 week longer compared to lashing the traditional way.
Q. Are LED eyelash extensions suitable for everyone?
A. LED eyelash extensions are suitable for most clients but certain factors such as allergies, sensitivities, or pre exisiting eye conditions may affect eligibility. Please ensure you read through the consultation when booking to determine suitability. Please do not book this treatment if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Q. I usually have an allergic reaction, can i try again with this LED Lash System?
A. YES! However, the glue we use is much the same minus the carbon black. This system simply allows for curing to take place in just 1 second instead of 24-48 hours so the potential to reducing the chance of an allergic reaction is very possible! In saying that, given that we are using the same products there is absolutely no guarantee that you won't react to the LED system so please keep this in mind when booking.
